PERSONAL SAFETY & CONFLICT RESOLUTION
This is a flexible seminar that can be designed specifically around the needs of attendees.
As this seminar is being held at National Geographic it is linked to the traveller both at home and abroad and looks at typical situations that occur on the streets of London.
The full course is delivered across the “Emergency Services” and is used by The Metropolitan Police. It also forms part of a Close Protection Officers training and is recognised by The National Health Service. I have delivered it over several years to Greenwich Primary Care Trust and to Close Protection Officers. In addition Hospitality and Leisure outlets have benefited from the full course.
The aim is to encourage personal thinking and to development a safer culture within a working environment and in the personal life of those attending.
Typically the seminar looks at conducting a risk assessment of everyday situations and trying to spot problems before they happen. If that is not successful then it goes on to develop a strategy for recognising conflict in the early stages and through to defusing conflict. The aim is to raise an awareness of violence and provide attendees with the techniques they can utilise to eliminate or reduce the risks to themselves and others.
Topics include:
Personal Safety tips
The rational and emotional brain.
Fight or flight.
Communication skills.
Triggers for conflict.
